The Speaker
Sarah Jones is part of the Third Age Trust’s AI Subject Advisor team.
Since 2022 she has led workshops and briefings across Chiltern u3a and beyond, helping people explore the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in everyday life and to the benefit of the u3a organisation. Drawing on the expertise and resources of the national TAT AI team, she brings clarity and curiosity to a fast-changing field. A member of the Speak up for our Planet team since 2023, Sarah is especially interested in how AI can support positive environmental and social change.
The Talk
Artificial Intelligence is with us, has been for a long time and is unstoppable. AI is extraordinarily powerful and has the capacity to be tremendously positive for our planet or devastating. The choice to use it well is in our hands. It is our duty to understand how to use it well.

- examples of how the main tools work and how to ask precise questions
- facts about how AI can be climate friendly – or not!
- suggestions about how we can use it responsibly.
